we understand ABN AMRO Equities Australia Limited offered to buy at $3.16 per share, for a period of three weeks, all shares appearing in the Australian register of shareholdings as at the close of business on 25 August 1998 - the three week period ran from 16 September 1998 to 6 October 1998 - shareholders left on the Australian register after delisting received future dividends, including a 1998 payment, in cash in Dutch Guilders with 25% Dutch dividend withholding tax deducted (we have not been able to confirm the above) | 04/11/1998 |
